Bomb scare in Howrah after suspicious bag found on GT Road, turns out to be mangoes
A video showing an Indian Army personnel proposing to a woman shortly after a ceremonial event has gone viral on social media, days after a similar proposal by a newly commissioned Army captain sparked debate. The clip shows the uniformed Army man kneeling before proposing to a woman dressed in a blue saree, after which she embraces him in the presence of onlookers.
The video was shared on social media with a caption stating that the proposal came as a surprise and was captured shortly after a ceremonial function. The footage has attracted widespread attention online, generating discussion about personal celebrations involving military personnel. The authenticity of the video has not been independently verified.
The latest video emerged amid continuing discussion surrounding Army captain Bharat Bhardwaj, whose proposal to his partner following a passing-out parade at an aviation training institution in Nashik had earlier gone viral. The incident received significant public attention, with supporters describing it as a personal milestone while others questioned whether such displays were appropriate within a military setting.
The circulation of the earlier proposal video led to debate over military decorum and the sharing of photographs and videos taken inside defence establishments. Reports indicated that an explanation could be sought from the officer regarding the public dissemination of the footage. Several retired senior military officers subsequently defended the captain and argued that the incident did not constitute a significant security concern.
Both proposals were linked to events at the Combat Army Aviation Training School in Nashik, an institution under the Army Training Command. The school trains Army aviation personnel and officers, including women officers, personnel from other services and officers from friendly foreign countries. Graduates later specialise in roles including tactical operations, search and rescue missions, special forces insertion, and logistical support in high-altitude regions.
